FINDING A FOCAL TOPIC: WE'RE GOING WITH PORN

I want to talk about porn. Specifically, I want to break down and look at the different reasons people watch porn and then in turn talk about porn stars. I have always found Mia Khalifa to be really fascinating. I think that she exemplifies this kind of idea that people always want porn stars to exist just to be sexy but not to be people. In recent years we’ve seen her branching into other avenues of media from twitch streaming to a sports podcast but everywhere she goes people tend to mock her and attack her past. Porn is one of the biggest and most viewed industries, but people pretend it is taboo? I want to analyze the stigma, the laws people have put in place, and the realities of the porn industry. I am picturing this as a podcast, I would call it “Do you want to watch” cause that’s a fun play on words you know. In terms of rebranding another organization I’m not sure, I kind of want to do my own thing that’s analyzing the porn industry and in terms of what exactly I want to do not to many people are doing it. I think if there could be an argument made for me rebranding Pornhub as I find it’s sort of “sexy secret, only watch this at 2am and never tell anyone about it” vibe gross. I’m excited by the concept of this honestly, I feel that it is something important that needs discussed that rarely is. I also think I could make a lot of media having to do with it from infographics to podcast logos.
